Your Lit Score is the single number (out of 100) that sums up how complete, trustworthy, and active your profile is - and it's a big part of where you show up when brands go looking for creators. Here's what actually moves it.
When a brand browses or searches for creators on Lit, or when our system suggests creators for a campaign, your Lit Score is one of the main things that decides how early you show up. A higher score means more brands actually see your profile before they've scrolled past it - which means more messages, more campaign invites, and more chances to get picked.
It's completely separate from boosting your visibility with Creator Points (see how boosts work) - boosting is something you pay for, your Lit Score is something you earn by having a genuinely strong, active, trustworthy profile.
Your score is built up from a few different things, roughly in this order of impact:
Being marked as a Premium or Certified creator, and keeping your analytics up to date, are the biggest single boosts to your score - these are things our team or a real course verify, not just a form you filled in.
An intro video, a showcase video, and audience insights all carry real weight - they're proof of who you are and what you actually deliver, not just profile fields.
Your bio, photo, location, contact details, categories, and a fully filled-out rate card (pricing, description, niche tags) - the basics a brand needs before they'll even consider you.
Applying to campaigns recently, keeping your platform data refreshed, and having a clean record (no flags against your account) all keep your score current rather than letting it go stale.
Referring other creators to Lit and completing our training materials both add to your score too - a small but genuine reward for helping the community grow and levelling up your own skills.
Everyone's next best step is different depending on what's already done - your dashboard shows a personalised "How to improve your visibility" checklist under your score, ranked by how much each one is actually worth.
No. Boosting pins you to a placement for a while, but it never touches your underlying score - the two are intentionally kept separate.
Most changes (completing your profile, applying to a campaign, uploading content) update your score right away. A few things update on a regular background refresh instead, so there can occasionally be a short delay.
Your dashboard - right under your score is a checklist of the specific next steps available to you, with how much each one is worth, so you can prioritise the biggest wins first.
Yes, if something that was contributing to it stops being true - for example your analytics going stale, or a flag being raised against your account. Keeping your profile fresh and active protects your score, not just building it up once.
