Payout Policy

This policy is an extension of the payout terms already outlined in our Terms of Service. It provides additional detail on payout methods, eligibility, and compliance procedures.

For purposes of this policy, “creator earnings” means compensation approved by Lit for completed campaign deliverables under the applicable campaign brief and creator terms. Creator earnings are not deposits, stored value, e-money, wallet funds, or client funds held on behalf of a creator.

1. Default Payout Method - Bank Transfer

All influencer earnings on Lit.Africa are paid via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into a South African bank account in the influencer's own name.

To receive payment via EFT, you are required to submit:

• A bank confirmation letter (not older than 3 months)
• Your South African ID number (or Passport number for non-citizens)
• A clear copy of your ID document or passport

Important: We do not allow payouts to third-party bank accounts. The account must be registered in your personal name and must match your ID.

2. Exception - Payout to a Parent's Bank Account (Minors Only)

If the influencer is under 18 years old, we may allow payment into a parent or legal guardian's bank account. This is only permitted if:

• The influencer provides proof of age
• The parent/guardian completes our official Minor Consent Form
• The bank account belongs to the parent/guardian, and a valid bank confirmation letter is submitted

No other third-party accounts will be accepted under any circumstance.

3. Alternative Payout Method - eWallet (Limited Eligibility)

We recognize that some influencers may not have access to a personal bank account due to valid reasons (e.g. no ID, underage, no proof of residence, undocumented status, etc.). In such cases, we allow payment via eWallet, subject to the following conditions:

✅ To receive eWallet payouts:

You must:

• Select your reason for not having a bank account from a predefined list on our platform
• Upload one of the following supporting documents:
  • South African ID document (even if expired)
  • Passport (SA or foreign)
  • Signed affidavit confirming your identity
• Complete and submit the following declarations on-platform (via checkbox):
  • ✅ I am the rightful recipient of this payout.
  • ✅ The mobile number I provided is under my control.
  • ✅ I consent to receive this payout via eWallet and understand it may include transaction fees or withdrawal limits.
• Provide a valid South African cellphone number to which the payment will be sent
• Agree that the payout via eWallet discharges Lit.Africa's creator compensation obligation for the related earnings

Note: We track and store the IP address and timestamp of each eWallet consent request for security and compliance purposes.

4. Minimum Payout Value

The minimum payout amount is R250. Payout requests below this threshold will not be processed until the creator's approved creator earnings balance meets or exceeds R250.

5. Security and Verification

Lit.Africa reserves the right to:

• Request additional documentation if there are discrepancies or risk indicators
• Delay or reject a payout if the provided information is incomplete, unverifiable, or suspected to be fraudulent
• Revert to EFT only, and deny eWallet requests, if compliance or payment integrity is compromised

6. Final Notes

• It is your responsibility to ensure the bank or mobile details provided are correct
• Lit.Africa will not be held liable for incorrect payments made due to inaccurate information submitted by the influencer
• Fraudulent submissions (e.g. using someone else's bank confirmation letter or ID) will result in suspension from the platform and possible legal action
