1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy outlines how content revisions and retakes are handled between brands/agencies ("Brands") and influencers/content creators ("Creators") on the platform Lit.africa. Its goal is to ensure clarity, fairness, and consistent expectations for all parties involved.
By accepting a campaign or submitting content through the platform, Creators confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
2. Content Review & Feedback
Once content is submitted, Brands are entitled to review it against the approved campaign brief, agreed deliverables, and platform guidelines.
Feedback must be:
- Specific and actionable
- Directly related to the original brief or technical quality
- Provided within the review period specified in the campaign (or within a reasonable timeframe if none is specified)
3. Included Edits (Up to 2 Rounds)
Creators agree that up to two (2) rounds of reasonable edits are included at no additional cost.
Edits may include, but are not limited to:
- Text or caption changes
- Scene replacements
- Minor pacing or trimming adjustments
- Subtitle or on-screen text corrections
- Tone or emphasis adjustments aligned with the brief
Edits do not include a complete reshoot or fundamentally new creative direction.
4. Retakes (Full Re-Creation of Content)
A complete retake may be requested by the Brand at no additional cost only if one or more of the following apply:
- Poor video quality (e.g. out of focus, unstable footage, poor lighting)
- Poor audio quality (e.g. distortion, background noise, unclear voice)
- Content quality does not match previously posted content
- Content materially does not follow the approved brief
- Mandatory brand or campaign requirements were not met
A retake is limited to one (1) full re-creation of the content.
5. What Is Not Considered a Valid Retake Request
A retake may not be requested if:
- The Brand changes the brief or creative direction after approval
- Feedback is based on personal preference rather than the brief
- The content meets the agreed requirements but the Brand has second thoughts
- New messaging, angles, or deliverables are introduced post-creation
Any additional retakes or major changes beyond this policy may require renegotiation and additional compensation, subject to agreement between the parties.
6. Timelines for Revisions & Retakes
Creators agree to:
- Complete edit requests within a reasonable timeframe (typically 2 to 4 business days unless otherwise agreed)
- Complete approved retakes within a mutually agreed timeframe
Unreasonable delays without communication may be treated as a breach of campaign terms.
7. Approval & Final Acceptance
Once content is approved by the Brand:
- It is deemed final and accepted
- No further edits or retakes may be requested
- Payment may be released in accordance with platform processes
8. Dispute Resolution
If there is a disagreement regarding whether an edit or retake request is reasonable or compliant with this policy, the platform may review:
- The original campaign brief
- Submitted content
- Brand feedback
The platform's decision will be considered final for the purposes of campaign completion and payment release.
9. Platform Protection & Fair Use
This policy exists to protect both Creators and Brands from scope creep, unfair demands, and unclear expectations. Abuse of revision or retake requests by either party may result in account review or restrictions.
10. Acceptance
By participating in campaigns on this platform, Creators and Brands confirm that they:
- Have read and understood this policy
- Agree to be bound by its terms
- Accept that this policy forms part of the platform's campaign rules
