How to create a platform

Before you can rent out a space, it is important to create/link your social platforms to your account. Platforms can then be linked to the spaces you create, allowing you to create compelling offers/bundles for potential advertisers.

To get started, make sure you are logged into your lit.africa influencer account dashboard page (https://lit.africa/dashboard/), and follow the steps below:

1. Click on the “Platforms” tab to open the platforms area and then click on + Add Platform

2. Fill in the fields using the following guide as a reference:
   • Type: Select the platform you are linking. For most listed a custom interface will be shown asking you to only paste your handle/tag on that platform. If none apply, use the ‘Blog’ type to set up a custom link altogether.
   • Link: Add the link to the platform, fill only the missing parts, for example, a YouTube link should only contain your handle, for example “@exampleName”.
   • Description: Enter the a short description telling advertisers about your account, the type of content you create and who your target audience is.
   • Price per post: Enter your preferred price per post.
   • Categories: Select the categories that best match/fit the type of content that you already create for on your platform.
3. Click on the Save Platform button, to save your platform

At this point your platform be created and should be shown in your platform list. Note that each platform that is created is submitted and will be reviewed by our team as soon as possible whereby we will add your audience and engagement metrics.

In the meantime, we do recommend viewing your profile and testing the link shown accordingly. If the link does not work as expected, you may need to make adjustments to your “link” field.
